Our specialty - Data Mining
aka "The last chance"
For critical cases, when all the attempts at data recovery have failed, we use a unique method of lost data recovery, independent of operating or file systems. With the help of Data Mining we are able to recover data even from physically damaged data media, or from completely erased file systems.
How does Data Mining work?
Data Mining is based on recognition of the internal structure of the file(s) being sought. The majority of formats used contain definable correlations, which more or less reliably reveal information about the file type and other characteristics, such as the length of the file, the date of creating/storing, etc. In applying the Data Mining method each sector of media is searched, and the internal structures of the searched documents/files are investigated.
The advantage of this method is its ability to recover lost data even when there is no information about them in the file system.
The main disadvantage is method's inability to restore data in the original structure and in the original file names. Recovered files are thus placed into new folders according to type and are sequentially numbered. It may be possible to more effectively reclassify the data. For example, in recovering .jpg files it is possible to identify their names from various so-called metadata (date of exposure, type of camera, etc.). Data Mining is able to only recover non-fragmented data, i.e. data that were saved sequentially.
The only condition for a successful data recovery using Data Mining is at least partial readability of the data on the hard drive.
Thanks to its uniqueness Data Mining significantly supports out motto:
"We recover what others can't!"
